Make your "resolution" your solution!
With the New Year finally here, it can be easy to get swept up in making resolutions and attempting to commit to dramatic life-altering changes without putting much thought into them. The saying, "old habits die hard," reigns especially true when it comes to dieting and exercising.
While it would be nice, the truth is a new calendar year doesn't make it any easier to completely reform existing behavior overnight.
If you're interested in making a change, we recommend you start small. Try to create attainable goals for yourself with set deadlines
rather than broad and generalized resolutions. For example, instead of saying "I want to lose 20lbs this year," try setting
incremental goals. "On January 31st, I will have lost 3lbs" is much more realistic and attainable. That way, you can track your progress and alter your goals accordingly.
Baby steps are the way to break poor eating habits and lack of motivation. If you haven't already, start your fitness goals on the right foot.
Start small by keeping track of what you eat on a daily basis. Sometimes, something as easy as writing down what you eat can help you become more
self-aware and assess where it is you're going wrong and what you need to cut out of your diet. From there you can then decide what your first goal will be.
