TO EXPO/RACE MATERIALS PICK UP: Lakeview RecPlex

From the South:
Take I-94 north to Exit 347 at Highway 165. Travel east on 165, turn left on Terwall Terrace into Prairie Springs Park to the LakeView RecPlex.

From the North:
Take I-94 south to Exit 347 at Highway 165. Travel east on 165, turn left on Terwall Terrace into Prairie Springs Park to the LakeView RecPlex.


PARKING for Saturday JULY 12th ONLY:

On Saturday, July 12th ONLY, parking will be available at RecPlex for Race Materials Pick-Up and Bike Racking. Saturday parking will be at the RecPlex parking lot, on Terwall Terrace and around Lake Andrea. (Note: If the ground is wet and soft, parking will not be permitted on the grass around Lake Andrea.)

Any modifications to this information will be told to athletes during Course Talks on Saturday. Departure procedures have been modified as of July 10, 2008.


IMPORTANT NOTES FOR ALL ATHLETES FOR RACE DAY

Car pooling by ATHLETES is encouraged
(Park your car at Dairyland – hop on the bus to Race site)
Car pooling by friends, family, supporters of athletes is encouraged
ATHLETE only arrivals at Race parking venue (DAIRYLAND) and subsequent use of Race transportation to SITE between the hours of 4 A.M. and 6 A.M. is encouraged
Arrival to Race parking (Dairyland) and subsequent use of Race transportation by friends, family and supporters AFTER 6:30 A.M. is appreciated
Please allow sufficient time on RACE MORNING. Participants should be at the Transition Area by 6:15 A.M.
Once your Race has been completed, please be patient regarding the ability of the RACE DIRECTOR and the local law enforcement team to REOPEN the Transition Area and REOPEN the surrounding streets to vehicular traffic. YOUR safety and a fair Race for all is our goal.

NO Parking fees will be collected at Dairyland (Race Parking Venue). Maintain a steady flow of traffic.


RACE VENUE DEPARTURES

COURTESY TRANSPORTATION to and from the Race site will operate without interruption beginning at 4:00 a.m. and concluding at approximately 1:00 pm on Sunday JULY 13th

Our Race Director will determine when the TRANSITION area can be re-opened for the removal of bikes. ONCE this has occurred athletes may leave the Race venue and RIDE their bike to PRIME OUTLET MALL where they can be met by friends/family/support person driving the car

OPTIONS FOR EXITING RACE VENUE INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING ACTIONS:

Athletes car pool and use race transportation
Supporters of same athletes car pool and use race transportation

ONCE THE TRANSITION AREA HAS BEEN REOPENED the supporters return to DAIRYLAND via courtesy bus to retrieve BOTH vehicles and drive to Prime Outlet Mall and meet athletes who have ridden their bikes to Prime Outlet Mall from Race Site.

OR….

ONCE RACE HAS ENDED athlete may take bus to Dairyland; get her car and return to RecPlex property (Terwall Terrace and Highway 165) driving to Terwall Terrace from either I294 or Green Bay where they can park (limited time); go get bike out of Transition Area; return to car and depart. We anticipate that Highway 165 and Terwall Terrance will be reopened between approximately 11:30 A.M. and 12 noon.


DRIVING DIRECTIONS TO DAIRYLAND PARK

From Milwaukee or Chicago:
Take I-94 to Exit # 342 (Highway 158). Drive 1/4 mile East to Kenosha Dairyland Park. Follow signage and instructions from Parking Staff at Dairyland Park.


DRIVING DIRECTIONS TO PRIME OUTLET MALL

Take Highway 158 (52nd Street) west to I 94
Go south on I 94 to Highway 165
Go east on Highway 165 to 120th Avenue
Follow 120th Avenue to Prime Outlet Mall


NOTE TO ALL ATHLETES:

IF YOU ELECT TO RACK YOUR BIKE ON SUNDAY AND RIDE IN TO THE RACE SITE YOU WILL NEED TO PARK AT PRIME OUTLET MALL WHICH WILL CLOSE AT 5:30 a.m.
You must ride in and ride out from this area.

The Prime Outlet Mall parking is not for spectators or for athletes who have racked their bike on Saturday.
