HOW CAN I MEET UP WITH MY FAMILY / FRIENDS / LOVED ONES AFTER I FINISH THE RACE?

Before Race morning, make a plan to meet up with your loved ones in a pre-determined location at the Race site. Tell them how long you think it will take you to finish the Race, and tell them what time your assigned wave will start so they can estimate what time you might cross the Finish Line. Tell them your race number so they can listen for your number and name to be announced as you Finish, then head to your pre-determined location to rendezvous.

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING TO THE RACE?

You should come to the race prepared for a day outdoors in typical weather conditions. Plan what you'll wear during the race to be appropriate for sun and/or rain and the humidity that can be typical of summer weather in many parts of the country. In addition, keep the following items in mind:

Race bag/small duffel bag with your race number written on it or affixed to it to hold your gear
Timing chip and strap
Swim cap
Swim goggles
Flip Flops/Sandals
Small towel to dry your feet after the swim
Cycling shoes (if you choose to use them)
Fix-a-flat kit and bike pump
Bike helmet with your assigned race number (provided at Race Materials Pick-Up/Expo) affixed to the front
Running shoes (and socks if you want to wear them)

A clean, dry shirt to change into after the race (although there are no changing facilities)

SPECTATOR ETIQUETTE

IMPORTANT INFO: READ AND SHARE WITH ANYONE WHO WILL JOIN YOU AT THE RACE!

The following information is for your comfort and safety as well as for the safety of the athletes participating in the Triathlon. Thank you in advance for your compliance.

A triathlon race course uses open spaces and public thoroughfares; it is difficult to "close" a course measuring more than 15 miles. As a result, it is important that spectators be aware of their environment and take care not to interfere with the athletes and the race in progress.

Do not distract the athletes' attention.
Obey all Race personnel, volunteers and police.
Stay off the race course. Pacing athletes is not permitted.
Stay behind fencing (both hard and soft), cones, flagging and any other means of delineating areas that are "OFF LIMITS" to spectators. Do NOT lean or push on fencing.
Use designated "crossovers" only when instructed to do so.
Look both ways and behind you before crossing or changing direction.
Move in an orderly manner and at a normal pace.
CYCLISTS can travel at a high rate of speed. Spectators MUST yield to racers in progress.
SPECTATORS and/or FAMILY MEMBERS are NOT permitted in the Transition Area.
If you happen to be in the front of a large spectator viewing area, please show consideration for those behind you by kneeling.
If you plan to watch your special athlete, know her race number, swim cap color, wave number, wave start time and estimated finish time. Take into account what time her swim wave will enter the water to calculate approx. finish time.
You may wish to familiarize yourself in advance with the course map posted online. Bring a plan for where (and approximately when) to meet your athlete after she has completed the Race.
Anticipate heavy traffic approaching the race site and parking area prior to Race start; leave plenty of time for parking and transit. Vehicular traffic in/around the race venue may be limited while the event is in progress. Be prepared to stay until the last athlete has completed the Bike course.
There are plenty of garbage cans... PLEASE dispose of your trash in these.
