Two 30" long resitance tubes are attached to each side of a bar which allow you to perform a variety of movements utilizing the attached foot straps. The bar disassembles for easy storage. My husband travels a lot for work. I usually go with him. When staying in places without a fitness room, this is a great tool. Its light weight and size make it easy to pack. Fits snugly into a yoga mat.

The only thing I don't care for is the length of the elastic. I can't seem to keep them wrapped around the bar. It would be nice to have different lengths to choose from at the time of purchase.

A worthwhile investment in home fitness

I have the Danskin Now version of this product, which I purchased at [@]. The only difference I can see is that the bar is not completely padded. I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised by this piece of equipment. I've bought a lot of stuff over the years, The Firm tapes/dvds, step boxes, etc. I've always wanted to get into Pilates but the cost at a studio is prohibative. This bar is a really great way to get started without feeling overwhelmed (needing to get to a pilates studio, cost of lessons, etc.). The DVD is really well done. I had never heard of Gin Miller before this, but it was great to see that the 3 small workouts are professionally produced. Once I get the moves down, I have no doubt I'd be able to use the bar while watching tv or just listening to music. A worthwhile investment in home fitness.

So easy to use and so effective! I have often thought about buying a large expensive pilates machine...but this is better! Way cheaper and portable! And the video that comes with is perfect..you get a full body workout!
