My girls are currently not dancers. We purchased this product to wear beneath short plaid skirts. The girls both felt that the sizes ran smaller than they usually wear in other form fitting garments such as swimwear or undergarments.

My 7 yr old granddaughter is very modest and if her outfits do not come with built-in shorts, she wears a pair of these. She loves wearing dresses and in case she is playing or lying about, she feels no one can look at her panties. Her mother and I like this modesty.
My daughter is small and doesn't fit into the volleyball spandex that is available. We have used these shorts 3X a week for 6 months of volleyball practice and tournaments and they are still holding up great. Much less expensive that the volleyball spandex too!
