I bought this for my daughter who is just starting to go through puberty and wasn't keen on changing in public at her recital. In addition to a regular costume change, she had one quick change that would be done in the wings right next to the stage, and she was a bit apprehensive. This leotard worked wonders under her costumes and alleviated those concerns. One of *my* concerns was a somewhat stomach baring hip hop costume, which also had straps that tended to loosen during use, making me a bit worried she'd expose something too much somewhere!
Since my daughter is very pale skinned, this really wasn't obviously a leotard under her costume from the audience, and the clear straps weren't very visible from afar. She didn't have any problems with the straps detaching even though I'd meant to sew them on after reading earlier reviews and had forgotten to. For darker or more tanned girls, though, it would probably be more obvious, especially in places where the costume just dipped a bit lower than the leotard.
I think this leotard could be useful to a girl just starting to develop who isn't ready to wear a bra to dance in, but wants some extra support and coverage beyond a single leotard (or who just doesn't want bra straps everywhere!).

Received right on time for my daughters rehearsal, fit and looked great. Undetectable under her dance costume. Very satisfied with [...]product.

We purchased this product to go under some revealing costumes for my 10 year old daughter's recent recital. It worked perfectly. She was the only one on stage not pulling on her costumes. This leotard had her well covered and it stayed in place for the whole show, through 4 costume changes.

I bought this for my daughter...her dance costume was very thin. Once we put this under her costume, it was perfect! It layed nice under her costume, and made her feel more comfortable!
