My 3 year old daughter loved it alot especially the swingings of the skirt. She is 41" and 40lb, I ordered small (4-5)and it fits good. So I suppose ordering according to the lower limits of the size chart would be helpful.

I bought this for my daughter to wear to her ballet birthday party. She has never taken classes before and was so excited. I was looking for a pretty leotard for her to wear since we wouldn't be buying a party dress. She looked like a little angel ballerina. Now she wants to take classes.

While this appears to be more of a dance leotard, my daughters both have them and wear them to gymanstics. Very girlish and pretty.

My daughter's dance class requires a white leotard which I had a hard time finding & then finding one that was cute & flattering for a little girl age 4-5 was even harder. This leotard was just perfect! I love it, my daughter loves it & she is so cute in dance class. It fits perfect & is easy to take care of! Love it!

My daughter loves this leotard and skirt, especially the little bows on it. Unlike other reviews we did not find this to be too small at all so I'm glad I ordered true to the description (although my daughter is on the small side for her age as she's a twin...)

My daughter needed a lavender leotard for her dance class. I love this leotard. It is so adorable, however it is too small for my daughter and she is very thin for her age. I ordered the size that fit her measurements but it was still too small. The color wasn't exactly what I was expecting. To me it looks more lilac or mauve.

I really love this leotard! The overall quility is very good and it truely flatters the littlest of dancers. The puffed sleeve truely adds the perfect touch for a sweet, innocent look. The only negative thing is that the size chart is a little off. I bought the next size up from what the size chart recommends on this site and have a perfect fit. If you buy true to size, you may be disappointed bc it will likely be too small. Otherwise, the leotard is perfect!

I bought this for my 2 year old and it's adorable and she was delighted when it arrived. I could tell it ran small, but there was no way to prevent her from trying it on, and once that happened, I was stuck. No way to return it. It is a bit expensive, but high quality. I would recommend ordering it a size larger to compensate for the small fit.

This is one of the cutest leotards I've bought!!My daughter totally loves it. I was a little concerned when I read the reviews about the sizing issues but overall, it's a good fit. My daughter is four and the small fits pretty much like it should...the waist it a little tighter than in some of her other Danskin leotards but it not bad. I agree with other's remarks about sizing up only if your child is on the upper side of the sizing chart. Very adorable and always love the quality of Danskin's products!!

This product seems to run a bit small. My daughter falls right in the middle of the S sizing category but the S was not really long enough in the torso for her. I'd recommend going up a size unless you're at the bottom of the height range within the sizing guide.

My daughter wears this for her ballet class and looks absolutely adorable. It is part cotton but it still looks very elegant with the sheer sleeves and skirt.

Small was a little too small. Returned for medium. Purchased Lavender and it was not as nice as shown on the website. Returned it and got black which was nice.

This is a great leotard, but when I placed my first order, based the sizing off the size chart and my niece's measurements, the leotard was too small. I could tell when it arrived in the mail, so I sent it back and ordered the size larger and it worked just fine. Since it's tight fitting, I would recommend ordering one size larger than normal!
