No, I would not recommend this to a friend

I've used Capezio's shoes before, and they are usually great for anything that involves movement in the studio; However, these were not a good choice: the first problem is they run small. I am a very standard size 6, and never had any problems with any shoe that fits a 6. These, however, felt very tight in the toe area, and after an hour of dancing I thought my toes were going to fall off. These shoes also do not have any traction whatsoever.

I ordered this shoe to replace my faithful but ancient ballroom dance shoes. I was very pleased with the style, fit and appearance.
I was surprised when I opened the box and the shoes, shoe box, tags and advertizements spilled out.

I haven't been able to use them on the dance floor, but I've practiced at home and they are wonderful! I am a beginner Ballroom Dancer and they will work perfectly! I'm very picky about my shoes and these fit the bill for me! I'm glad I ordered one half size bigger than my street shoes, however. Something to pass along to others
