Comments about Danskin 71 Mesh Convertible Backseam Tight:

I got these tights in both black and pink when they were re-introduced, as I wore the old ones for years and loved them. I love the color and the fit, they are both great. The fabric is soft, stretchy, and comfortable and although the mesh design is bigger than the old ones, it is very attractive. I love the thin seam in the back which is nicer than other brands and the black is really great. My biggest beef is that the pink ones ran at the heels or the seams almost immediately, so I wouldn't buy them again as they just don't last at all. On the other hand, the black seem more durable and although they are not as durable as the old ones that lasted forever and could be mended, they have held up for quite a while.

So I would only recommend the black unless the fabric can be made more durable in pink.

Very nice tights though my daughter somehow got a snag in them the second time she wore them. Luckily I ordered two pair.

Not the "old school" mesh, but good tights!

If you're looking for the old school mesh, knees that get a little baggy tights, these are not them. That being said, they are pretty darn good tights! Very stretchy!

Comments about Danskin 71 Mesh Convertible Backseam Tight:

I am a professional ballet dancer and I loved the old Danskin 71s! These are somewhat close, but not the same. They run instead of rip, so you can't cut a holes in the heels or toes. The tights ruin. The new mesh pattern is also thicker than the old style and they are very stretchy which isn't a bad thing, but it is also not the same as the good old elephant knees. There is nothing wrong with the tights, they are just not the old 71/32 that ballet dancers loved 5 years ago.

Comments about Danskin 71 Mesh Convertible Backseam Tight:

Very strong and comfortable tights. Lots of stretch for 5'-11" 180lb dancer. Doesn't cut you in half around the waist like other brands, BW &C.
